If you don’t have time to immerse yourself in the local culture or if you would just rather immerse yourself with something on the silver screen, the Avalon theater is practically next door to the guesthouse and it’s a great place to see a movie. They offer a mix of current box office hits and they sprinkle in some independent films here and there.
The theater itself is a classic from the 1970’s before stadium-style seating became commonplace. It has been beautifully restored and the building details alone are worth the price of admission. It’s a local relic.
